This is my FIRST Blogspot post.

Note: THIS is the first post to this blog on BLOGSPOT. All of the posts previous to this one were cut and paste from my old blog site. If you have been confused about that, sorry.

This is a new day.

For those of you who knew me before (at my old blog elsewhere), I have cut and paste most of the non-personal old blog entries to this new forum. For those of you who don't know me, you don't have to go back and read the old entries unless you want to. They are about current news events, mostly economics, politics, and cultural issues. I am an anti-feminist, you'll notice. I believe this country has lost it's way politically and especially economically. I am against globalization. I believe in free market economics, but there are limits - you might say I have a serious protectionist streak. Some might say I have a tiny little socialist streak, because I believe that it is wrong to deny people basic services, such as a reasonable amount of water, electricity and local phone service, due to inability to pay. These are necessities of life, and are generally natural monopolies. Market economics does not apply. What you will hear from me is mostly the above plus a liberal dose of philosophy, linguistics, and religious topics. Yes, I am Jewish. Yes, I am a wife and mother. Yes, I have worked outside the home. Yes, I have two college degrees. As I said in one of my earliest blog posts, expect a bit of sarcasm, cynicism, and being the devil's advocate. The point of a blog is to make you think - if you aren't annoyed, then I probably haven't accomplished that. If you are annoyed, class, then think about why. If you do that, then the world will be a better place, whether you agree with me or not.
