Equal protection for women - white women, that is.

Father found guilty in honor killing
By PAISLEY DODDS, Associated Press Writer Mon Jun 11, 2:48 PM ET

LONDON - A father who ordered his daughter brutally slain for falling in love with the wrong man in a so-called "honor killing" was found guilty of murder on Monday. Banaz Mahmod, 20, was strangled with a boot lace, stuffed into a suitcase and buried in a back garden. Her death is the latest in an increasing trend of such killings in Britain, home to some 1.8 million Muslims. More than 100 homicides are under investigation as potential "honor killings."

Every now and then I listen hard, but the deafening silence from feminists in the West concerning their oppressed middle eastern sisters never fails to amaze me. Neither does it disappear.

This girl was killed for using hairspray and refusing a violent arranged marriage. And part of the reason she was killed was that the police didn't take her seriously.

Where is the outrage? Where are the calls that female immigrants from the east should have the same rights to freedom of religion as western-born women? Where is the disgust for the police department? Where is the condemnation of the medieval and backward beliefs of her father and brothers?

We have lost our way, sisters, when political correctness means we can't speak out about barbaric religious or cultural practices against women because of "tolerance" and "multi-culturalsim."

Let's just tell it like it is, class - Islam is a religion and a culture that denigrates women, treats women like property, denies women the right to freedom of religion, and freedom of speech, and freedom of association, and freedom to have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness on their own terms. Where is their "right to choose?" And why aren't western women shouting from the rooftops about it?

Feminism in this country has become positively shameful - gone are the days of true feminism when wife-beating was considered worth fighting against, and the whole point of the movement was for women to be able to choose their own destinies. No, now the spokespersons for feminism have decided that if women don't make the choices that they want us to make, then their oppression and struggles are not worth fighting about.

And it proves to us out here who have noticed that feminists have taken more choices away from us over the past couple of decades than they have given that feminism isn't about women's rights anymore. It's about a certain narrow subset of desires of a certain narrow subset of women.

And like the multinational CEO's in the business world, this minority subset is well-financed and entrenched. Like Darwinism and Evolution they are a religion with a high priest(ess)hood and an inquisition that would make Torquemada proud. Like tyrants everywhere, they hold on to their "power" at all costs and prevent the dissemination of any information that casts doubt on their goal of a so called "genderless" and responsibility-free society that values personal me-ness and personal fulfillment over every other consideration.

Nice work if you can get it, but in large swaths of the world, our sisters can't work, can't drive, can't choose their spouse or take control of their own education, children, or inheritances. Shouldn't the feminist organizations be working toward brining all women at least to the level of equal rights in all societies before trying to shove the high level western decadence on everyone?

But no, apparently that's too much to ask. If you don't believe in abortion for personal or religious reasons, don't expect any help getting your civil rights from NOW. If you value motherhood over career, don't think they care about your personal freedoms. If you think marriage is good, or should be between men and women, then forget western feminists giving your problems a second glance.

And it shouldn't be that way, class.

The freedom to choose should not be limited to just their feminazi priesthood's "politically correct" choices. And if feminists aren't going to speak out against all injustices against all women everywhere, then feminism is a failure and a joke.

So I challenge NOW to publish a press release condemning muslim honor killings. And how about forced marriages? And freedom of religion for all women? And the right to drive and own property and have an income if they want one?

Well? What are you waiting for?
