The Final Solution, part two?

It shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone that Obama thinks that Israel should just stop building homes for new families and new olim. He also thinks they should just stop having children, too, apparently. His "science czar" backs government controlled family planning including forced abortions and forced sterilization of women against their will. Enforcing natural growth bans by force was (is?) their plan.

This is an important issue for the Jewish community and not just in the issue of settlements. Turning any part of Israel over to the type of international authority envisioned by John Holdren would include a complete freeze not just on building but on birthrates. Many Democrats and Liberal Socialists have wanted this since back in the 60s, but only now are members of these groups actually coming into positions of power.

Obama science czar Holdren called for forced abortions
'Comprehensive Planetary Regime could control development, distribution of all natural resources'

..."There exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated," wrote Obama appointee John Holdren, as reported by FrontPage Magazine. "It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."

Holdren's comments, made in 1977, mirror the astonishing admission this week of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who said she was under the impression that legalizing abortion with the 1973 Roe. v. Wade case would eliminate undesirable members of the populace, or as she put it "populations that we don't want to have too many of."

...Holdren's book proposed multiple strategies to curb population growth, and, according to the quotes excerpted by FrontPage Magazine, advocated an international police force to ensure the strategies were carried out.

"Such a comprehensive Planetary Regime could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable," Holdren and the Ehrlichs reportedly wrote. "The Planetary Regime might be given responsibility for determining the optimum population for the world and for each region and for arbitrating various countries' shares within their regional limits. ... The Regime would have some power to enforce the agreed limits."

...A former Teresa and John Heinz professor of environmental policy at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Holdren was appointed as the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and confirmed on March 20 to assume the position informally known as Obama's "science czar."

Holdren's track record shows a trend of alarmist viewpoints on scientific issues...

...Sen. David Vitter, R-La., expressed concern at the hearing that Holdren's alarmist positions violated a statement made by President Obama when he nominated the Harvard professor:

"The truth is that promoting science isn't just about providing resources – it's about protecting free and open inquiry," Obama said. "It's about ensuring that facts and evidence are never twisted or obscured by politics or ideology."

Which is exactly what IS happening in regards to the issue of Israel's sovereignty over Eretz Israel and the needs of cities and towns to accommodate growing populations, both by births and by olim.

It is not outside the realm of possibility that the UN or some other body could move in to enforce a two-state solution, reducing Israel down to 1/4 of it's original Mandated territory and enforcing population limits in towns and cities by refusing to allow new housing and facilities to be built. This is what they would like to do - very few doubt that.

Whether they actually can or will remains to be seen.

But Jewish families who still live in America are not going to be exempt from the Radical Leftist agenda of Obama's cronies. The probability is very high that sterilization and/or medically managed birth control will become a requirement for receiving welfare, medicaid, food stamps, vouchers, or other social services. This could very well be implemented as part of the new Health Care initiative in conjunction with "Welfare Reform" to reduce government costs. Government is going to have plenty of incentive to trim the roles of those receiving government largess by disqualifying "non-compliant" households. Those who become pregnant after such a rule is passed will be told to have an abortion or be dropped from the roles - it will be that simple.

And the public will not have a problem with this, rest assured. Horror stories like "Octomom" have given the public an intense disgust of large families receiving government benefits. This is a widespread opinion and the time is fast approaching when people's tax burden is biting so hard that they will be very, very happy to see legislation enacted that will prevent more welfare babies from being born.

This is a reality our community needs to deal with, and isn't even talking about, much less actually taking seriously.

Don't say I didn't warn you.
